A Graduate of Baylor University with a BBA in Insurance and Real Estate in 1977, he entered the life insurance business with Northwestern Mutual Life in Dallas, Texas.
After 12 years in sales and sales management, Pat moved to Kansas City to become an agency manager with MassMutual. He served in that role for 13 years.
In 2003, after 25 years in business, Pat began a career in development serving as a development officer for Baylor University.
Since 2004, he has been with Antioch Community Church, Waco, Texas, serving as Pastor of Donor Ministries and Director of Development.
He has been married to Tanya, his college sweetheart, for 34 years. Together they have three grown and married children and one grandchild and reside in Waco, Texas.
